How a Trip to Costa Rica Changed Our Lives

A few months ago, my brother’s friend needed a videographer for a retreat in Costa Rica. We had a million reasons not to go, but we decided to live our lives untethered. That was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

They say a picture says a thousand words, so here are a few pictures that tell the story of this beautiful trip:

Carara National Park in Tarcoles This magical place was our first stop. I’d show pictures of the crocodiles we saw, but then you’d miss out on this shot of our group looking like absolute tourists.

Dominical, Costa Rica (Below) – We had the best yoga experience here. It was freeing, beautiful, and relaxing. Later, we shared some of our worst experiences with complete strangers, and it was liberating! To call this experience cathartic would be an understatement!

Playa Ventanas, Ballena This place was incredibly gorgeous! It reminded us that living our lives untethered was the best decision.

Catarata El Pavon, Ojochal and Catarata Uvita, Uvita – Do you know what’s better than jumping off one waterfall per day in Costa Rica? Jumping off two breathtaking waterfalls! The jumps were as terrifying as they were exhilarating.

Rancho Cielo Alto, Playa Hermosa, Cartago

The food was beyond our expectations! We had the best seafood here. Rancho Cielo Alto is the best farm to table restaurant we’ve ever been to. They served perfection on a plate.

Rancho Cielo Alto has a beautiful medicinal garden. They grow everything there and prepare every fish with medicinal plants. They served the most incredible plate of food I've ever had in my life.

This trip was the epitome of untethered living. We even went white water rafting at the Savegre River in San Jose Province!

“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears,” Les Brown.

As always, we can’t wait to share our adventures with you.
